The green tsavorite took its name from the Tsavo Park in Tanzania where Bridges Campbell discovered it in 1967. This stone is included in the garnet family and is quite rare. It is very clean when cut and its beautiful color goes from light green to dark green. Its tones are slightly close to the emerald and it can be used as an alternative to this latter as it is cheaper. The green tsavorite can be used as a lonely solitary or as pavement stone. It can perfectly match white or yellow gold, but also platinum or silver; but pink gold is not recommended.

The pink gold used in jewelry is an alloy made with 75% pure gold that is too soft to be used, 20% copper and 5% silver. The color of the metal obtained will vary according the quantity of copper in the mix. Once very discrete and less known than the yellow and white gold, it ended winning its letters of nobility and finally became the trendy metal for luxury jewelry these last decades. The pink gold can be associated with practically all transparent or colored semi-precious stones and gemstones. But it is recommended to avoid the green tones colored ones.
